Position Purpose

The Bartender is responsible for the unparalleled dining experience to guests. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Set up of bars i.e. polish glassware, set up all alcohol for various events to include weddings, receptions, dinners, as well as corporate events.

Essential Functions - What will you be doing?

Gather all necessary bar supplies, garnishes, spirits and bar utensils to properly set up bar for opening according to restaurant bar standards.

Provide excellent service by upholding a professional manner throughout all hours of restaurant by proving our guests with various cocktails, wines, beer, other spirits, and menu options. At conclusion of each night, ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to their proper location in a clean and orderly fashion. 

Ensure safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner. Ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately. Be responsible in the handling of all equipment and linens. 

Ensure that all persons minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages. Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. 

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

·       Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

·       Ensure extensive knowledge of food, menu and restaurant promotions and specials

·       Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system

·       Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner

·       Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

·       Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

·       Maintain all facets for service at the bar and cocktail tables including side work duties by upkeep of the restaurant

·       Listening to, and acts expeditiously on comments, criticisms, and feedback from guests, and coworkers to gain an understanding of areas of strengths and opportunities to improve personal and restaurant performance



What are we looking for?

·       High school or equivalent education preferred

·       Three years’ fine dining high volume bar experience preferred. 

·       Two to three years’ experience in customer service 

·       Must possess a positive attitude 

·       Must be willing to participate in a learning environment 

·       Must integrate company values throughout all interactions 

·       Must possess basic computer skills, computation skills and be able to operate a pos system to effectively process all guest payments and complete closing paperwork/checkouts without errors on a nightly basis

·       Must be 21 years old serve alcohol.

·       Ability to obtain/maintain a current TB test, state required licenses and/or certifications and willing to participate in industry continuing education
